Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Athletx ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use our mobile workout planning application. Athletx does not require an account or sign-up. Your workout data stays on your device. The free version shows ads, and Athletx Premium is an optional subscription. Both involve limited data handled by third-party services, described below. By using Athletx, you agree to the practices described here.

Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is created by you inside the app and is stored only on your device. We do not receive it and it is not uploaded to our servers:

Fitness data — plans you create, workouts you complete, sets, reps, weights, and your workout history.
Profile details — optional details such as display name, username, bio, profile photo, fitness goal, and body weight entries.
Preferences — your equipment, target muscles, units, and notification settings. Workout reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled locally on your device.

Information Collected by Third-Party Services

Athletx uses the following third-party services. They may collect certain information automatically through their software in the app:

Google AdMob (advertising) — in the free version, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and information about how you interact with ads, in order to deliver and measure ads, and to personalize them if you allow it.
RevenueCat (subscriptions) — to manage Athletx Premium, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, your subscription and purchase status, and basic device and app information. We never receive or store your payment details.
Apple — purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple handles all payment information.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies: Google and RevenueCat.

Advertising and Tracking

The free version of Athletx is supported by ads. Ads may be shown after a workout, and you may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock a prepared workout for 24 hours. Athletx Premium removes all ads.

Where required, we show a consent form before requesting ads, and on iOS we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt when you first open the app, before any advertising identifier is used to personalize ads or to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you tap "Ask App Not to Track", you will still see ads and can use the full app, but your advertising identifier will not be used to personalize them.

You can change your choice at any time in your iPhone settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and you can limit ad personalization in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.

Health and Fitness Information

Athletx shows general information such as an estimated Body Mass Index (BMI), calculated on your device as weight (kg) divided by height (m) squared. BMI ranges follow the standard classifications published by public health authorities:

BMI is a general screening estimate and not a diagnosis. Athletx is for general fitness purposes only and does not provide medical advice. Talk to a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional before starting a new exercise or nutrition program, or if you have questions about your health. These sources and this disclaimer are also available in the app by tapping "Sources & disclaimer".

Subscriptions

Athletx Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes ads, unlocks unlimited custom plans, and unlocks all prepared workouts. New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account, and the subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. You can restore a previous purchase from the Premium screen in the app.

How We Use Information

Information is used to:

Create and personalize workout plans and track your progress on your device.
Show ads in the free version and measure how ads perform.
Provide, verify, and restore your Premium subscription.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your information for purposes unrelated to operating the app.

Data Security

Your workout data is stored on your device and protected by your device's own security. Communication with third-party services takes place over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your workout data is stored only on your device, you control it. Go to Profile > Log out in the app to clear all local data, or delete the app to remove it from your device. There is no Athletx account to delete. Information held by Google AdMob and RevenueCat is retained according to their own policies; you can reset your advertising identifier in your iPhone settings, and you can contact us to request help with data held on our behalf.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to personalized advertising. You can manage most of these choices directly in the app and in your device settings, or by contacting us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

Athletx is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us so we can help resolve it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect.
